My Favorite 8 Family Vacation Apps and Sites

I don’t know how our parents parented without technology. I seriously can’t imagine mom-life before Amazon Prime. I feel this most when traveling. Here are my favorites:

Ciaobambino is the best family vacation search engine for hotels and resorts. You can filter by kids ages and get details like how much babysitting costs and whether their pools and restaurants are kid-friendly.

PackPoint creates a packing list for you based on the weather at your destination, your trip length, and planned activities. It’s a great resource to double-check that you don't forget anything.

TripIt scans emails to create a full itinerary for your trip. The app will help you find transportation options between the airport and your hotel.  Pro features include telling you when to leave for the airport and airport maps.

Foursquare is my secret weapon to find the best local spots, and how I’ve discovered the best BBQ and donuts of my life. Anything above a 9 rating is a must go.

Google Translate is like stepping into the future. You can put your camera over a menu, and it magically changes the foreign words into English.

CamFind lets you take pictures of any object to find out more information about it. Impress your kids with your knowledge of Parisian architecture.

Mobile Passport is an app from U.S. Customs that lets you skip the entire passport control line. We made it through passport faster than the Global Entry folks -- only one person in front of us!

Google Photos is the best product Google makes. Just take pics, and the app delivers you albums, animations, and videos of your best shots. In one click, the app also automatically creates a photo book of your best ones!

What are your must-have apps? Help me grow this list!
